Slow Coffee Life

Wine and coffee, the two daily routines that are indispensable in my life. One is dizzy and one is awake; one belongs to the night, and the other usually belongs to the early morning. Drinking, more often I want to call friends, but drinking coffee seems to be more suitable for a person. When you are in a bad mood, you may want to drink, and when you want to drink coffee, it may be because of an emotion, which is unclear and unclear.

When I first came to the United States, I especially liked the coffee shops in Manhattan. I would go there for a while, read a book, and look at the pedestrians on the road. Cafes are definitely the most beautiful existence in a city for me, so the movie directed by Woody Allen, will be called "Coffee Society". And those days when I lived in Long Island and couldn't find a special cafe, it was a kind of psychological lack for me. So, finding the coffee shop in my heart became a small goal.  After several years of searching, I can finally write a column to count the specialty coffee shops hidden in Long Island.

Gregorys Coffee

Gregorys Coffee is a New York local coffee shop established in Manhattan in 2006. Now there are 29 chain stores. This month the first Gregorys Coffee on Long Island finally opened in Deer Park, and I ran to try it on the first day. The best thing to drink here is Aero Press. This kind of philharmonic coffee can make ordinary coffee into a fairy taste, because it is more thorough than hand brewing, so it has a smooth taste. As for the taste, it depends on the barista and your preferences.

Southdown Coffee

The roasting technique of coffee beans should be the soul of a good cup of coffee. There is a famous coffee roasters here. Mark Boccard was selected as the top three in the 2019 National Coffee Roasting Championships. A few years ago I started visiting southdown coffee from the Huntington store. Southdown has now opened four stores in Long Island. Now you can find a white cottage in the row of old houses in Glen cove. The avocado toast inside is also delicious.

For Five

A coffee brand co-founded in 2010 by two good friends who grew up in Queens, a friendship that began in the third grade of elementary school has continued to this day, and opened their first coffee shop on 46th Street in Manhattan in 2016. It's really enviable. After opening a new store, it will bring different coffee flavors and different special meals. Manhasset coffee is often a good choice for my weekend breakfast, because the food is also excellent, and I like sitting at the table , watching the barista making Latte.

Flux Coffee
Founded in Berkeley, California in 2010, it was originally a Cold Brew company. It moved to Long Island, New York and started roasting coffee shops. Their different production methods gave coffee a unique taste, which is also the charm of independent coffee shops.

Mongo Coffee

This place really resembles the coffee society in my heart. The sacks filled with coffee beans and various wooden barrels, the sound of the machine running and the aroma of roasted coffee make people want to sit here for a while.

A cup of coffee can be drunk for ten minutes, or it can be an afternoon. I just want to see if the sun is shining, if I am particularly lazy, or if I am not at all, I just want to seriously taste the freshly ground Blue Mountain in my hand.
